Orbital Imagery Show Iranian Navy and Nuclear Locations Targeted by Joint US and Israeli Airstrikes.

A wave of American and Israeli attacks has reportedly eliminated or harmed no fewer than 11 Iran's navy ships starting Saturday, new satellite images show, with launch facilities and atomic facilities also being targeted.

Photographs of the southerly Konarak naval naval base and the Bandar Abbas port installation, which is located on the strategic Hormuz Strait and is home to the main command of the Iran's naval force, depict black smoke pouring from several vessels on the start of the week.

Naval Assets Sustained Substantial Losses

Included in the targets eliminated was the IRINS Makran, Iran's largest naval vessel which had served as a drone carrier. Satellite images indicated black smoke pouring from the ship which had been docked at the Bandar Abbas base.

Analytical reports suggest that at least a quintet of warships at the port were "damaged or eliminated". Imagery of the southern end of the harbor show smoke emanating from the Makran, while another pair of vessels are visibly impacted, with one of them seen burning.

Over at Konarak, images display numerous harmed vessels, with analysis identifying impacts on six ships. Photos taken on the start of the week also indicate that a number of facilities at the base have been demolished.

"For many years the Tehran government has disrupted global maritime traffic," a senior US military official said. "At present, there is not a single vessel from Iran operational in the Arabian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Sea of Oman, and we will not stop."

Some ships reportedly destroyed may have been concealed in aerial photos by haze or plumes, or targeted offshore, and have not been independently verified. Separate reports indicated that an Iranian vessel was sinking off the coast of Sri Lanka's waters, prompting a search and rescue mission.

Missile Installations and Atomic Facilities Attacked

Neutralizing Iranian missile bases and the stopping enrichment activities were declared as further goals of the military strikes. Satellite images also revealed impacts against the southern Khorgu base and north-western Tabriz missile missile bases, and at the Konarak air base, where weapons bunkers and bunkers were struck.

Over at the Choqa Balk-e unmanned aircraft site to the west of the city of Kermanshah, widespread destruction was seen to warehouses, underground facilities and UAV launching apparatus.

Damage was also noted at a radar installation at the Zahedan airbase military airport in eastern parts of the country, near the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Of particular note, the most recent series of strikes have reportedly hit installations at the Natanz complex – long said to be at the heart of Iran's nuclear programme. A global monitoring agency commented that the affected structures were used for access to the facility's underground enrichment facility and that "no nuclear fallout" was expected.

Wider Fallout and Analysis

Observers indicated that the offensive appeared to have "greatly reduced" the Iran's naval ability to conduct standard operations using its most significant vessels. However, it was stressed that Iran still has the capacity to launch unconventional attacks at sea through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, small submarines and its so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers.

The total scope of the destruction caused to Iran's defense facilities is still uncertain, with attacks reportedly ongoing. Pictures also shows considerable damage to the command center of the the IRGC in the capital Tehran.

A significant number of non-military structures also are reported to have been hit in the capital city and throughout Iran since the conflict escalated. Reports of deaths from local officials state that hundreds of non-combatants may have been lost their lives in the bombardment.

Amid continuing hostilities, analysis of aerial photographs will persist to track the unfolding military landscape.
