AC Shadows Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Content

This update also adds the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
